Public Art Projects
Butterfly Project, Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, Austin, TX. Sept 2016-Jan 2017
Six 8ft. X 40ft. panels covered with 6000+ butterflies. Interior panels: 5000+ butterflies created by children throughout Texas as a personal pledge against intolerance. External Panels: from darkness to lightness, the panels hold 1000+ gold origami butterflies; half are printed in Hebrew with the Mourner’s Kaddish. The installation was on view during State of Deception and On the Home Front.
As lead artist, I assisted St. Edward's University students enrolled in Butterfly Project: Art of the Holocaust to design, create and install the large scale public work.
