Public Art Projects
Butterfly Project (partial installation), JBWN, St. Edward's University, Austin, TX November 2017 -
A single 8ft. X 40ft. panel covered with 1000 butterflies. One side of the panel are butterflies created by children throughout Texas as a personal pledge against intolerance. The opposing side holds 1000 gold origami butterflies; half are printed in Hebrew with the Mourner’s Kaddish. The installation was originally on view during State of Deception and On the Home Front exhibitions at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum from Sept 2016- January 2017.
As lead artist, I assisted St. Edward's University students enrolled in Butterfly Project: Art of the Holocaust to design, create and install the large scale public work.
2017 AASLH Leadership in History Award winning project.
