Spanglish, the language spoken around my grandmother’s kitchen table, a delicious combination of English and Spanish. We had to learn when we were being talked about - what the chisme was about since English was my first language. Language is a complicated thing, one that is of heritage and future and aspiration and home. Spanglish is a celebration of this complication.
